The Warriors are coming off a 145-127 loss to the Toronto Raptors, which snapped a four-game win streak for Steph Curry and company. The Warriors are embarking on a four-game road trip that begins in Dallas.
The Mavericks have won three straight and four of their last five. They are coming off a 114-97 win over the New York Knicks. They have back-to-back games at home before hitting the road.
This is the second meeting of the season between the Warriors and the Mavericks. The Warriors picked up a 126-116 victory on Christmas Day in Golden State.
The Warriors could be without veteran guard Gary Payton II, who is listed as QUESTIONABLE with right foot soreness. Payton played 11 minutes against the Raptors. He has missed just three games this season.
On the season, he is averaging five points and 3.2 rebounds in 12.7 minutes.
Seth Curry remains OUT with left sciatic nerve irritation for the Warriors. He hasn't played since December 4 and has appeared in just two games this season. On January 11, it was reported that he would be sidelined for at least two more weeks.
Jimmy Butler is OUT after suffering an ACL tear against the Miami Heat on January 19. He will be out for the rest of the season. LJ Cryer and Malevy Leons are OUT on G-League assignment.
Daniel Gafford is DOUBTFUL with a right ankle sprain. He was listed as questionable on an early injury report, but has been downgraded since the afternoon.
Gafford has been in and out of the lineup all season and has missed four of the last five games.
In 29 games this season, Gafford is averaging 7.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.
Ryan Nembhard is PROBABLE. The two-way G-League rookie has appeared in 31 games for the Mavericks, drawing the start in 17 contests. He is averaging 7.5 points and 5.2 assists in his first season in the league.
Moussa Cisse is QUESTIONABLE with an illness. He played 20 minutes against the Knicks, finishing with 15 points, nine rebounds, and four blocks.
Miles Kelly (G-League) is QUESTIONABLE.
Anthony Davis (left finger sprain), Dante Exum (right knee surgery), Kyrie Irving (left knee surgery) and Derrick Lively II (right foot surgery) all remain OUT for the Mavericks.
