The Golden State Warriors could target Cameron Carr from Baylor in the 2026 NBA Draft.

The Golden State Warriors possess a draft pick in the lottery for the first time since 2021. The Warriors are currently working to replace Jimmy Butler III and Moses Moody, due to them suffering major injuries.

Butler III and Moody were wings who played a pivotal role in the Warriors' making an appearance in the 2026 Play-In Tournament. Golden State can look to find those replacements this summer in free agency, but with the 11th overall pick in the draft, that's a good opportunity to find someone to plug in at the start of the season.

According to ClutchPoints, one player the Warriors could be targeting with their pick is guard Cameron Carr out of Baylor. Carr, 21, had a very successful sophomore season with the Baylor Bears. He averaged 18.9 points per game, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.

Carr is known for being one of the best overall athletes in this year's draft. He is 6'5" and has good athletic instincts on the court. He has a 42.5-inch vertical, showing he can be an explosive player on the court.

Carr's athleticism is one of the most attractive traits he has as a prospect and is what has propelled his draft stock. In recent years, the Warriors have liked dynamic play from their wings.

The last time the Warriors had a lottery pick, they selected Jonathan Kuminga. Kuminga had his ups and downs with the franchise but was selected because of his dynamic play style. Golden State believed his play style could complement Stephen Curry and the offense, but ultimately, he couldn't find his footing.

One thing that makes Cameron Carr stand out from past prospects with elite athleticism is his efficiency. Carr shot just under 50 percent from the field his sophomore season and 37 percent from three.

Carr was also in a situation where he was Baylor's go-to player on offense. His lone season at Baylor saw him have the highest usage of his college career in one season. If he plays alongside Stephen Curry, he won't have so much pressure put on him to be the lead player for a team's offense.

Ever since Klay Thompson left, Golden State has been looking for a stable second option on offense, but has yet to find anyone to fill that void. If Stephen Curry can play alongside a reliable guard on offense, the Warriors could become a much more competitive team.

Golden State will not have its veteran players around much longer, and finding a reliable rookie could save the franchise from years of a rebuilding phase.
