The Warriors will be down two important players against the Heat for the first game of a back-to-back.

The Golden State Warriors have been on fire over the past few weeks, going 11-4 over their last 15 games and coming off an electric win over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night that saw them score their second-most points all season in a 136-116 victory.

However, the final two games of their eight-game homestand will be one of the biggest tests of this stretch as they get set to play a back-to-back against the Miami Heat and the Toronto Raptors.

Warriors Missing Two Rotational Players

The Warriors have had good health in recent weeks, but it's starting to slip a little bit, mostly due to the back-to-back nature of this upcoming pair of games.

It's because of the back-to-back that De'Anthony Melton is sitting out a game for the first time in eight games. Melton returned from an ACL injury earlier this season and has yet to play both ends of a back-to-back this season as the Warriors ease him back into action.

Even under the game and minutes restrictions, Melton has been a force to be reckoned with off the bench, and his absence is a big one for this game against the Heat.

The other player ruled out is Gui Santos, who suffered a left ankle sprain early in the Warriors' game on Thursday against the Knicks. Santos will miss his second-straight game after he sat out Saturday's game against the Hornets, but the ankle sprain isn't expected to keep him out for much longer.

Additionally, Draymond Green appeared on the injury report as questionable with a right ankle sprain that he seemingly suffered recently, although it didn't appear to hamper him in the Hornets game.

Perhaps the most notable thing about the injury report, however, is the absence of a certain name: Jimmy Butler. Butler was ruled out for the Hornets game just before tipoff due to personal reasons, and it was unclear if that issue would keep him out against his former team. However, Butler is nowhere to be found on the report, and looks to be available to face his former team for the second time since he was traded to the Warriors just under a year ago.

Heat Missing Tyler Herro Again

The Heat's injury report, at first glance, is much longer, but it contains quite a few players who have been upgraded to probable or available for this game, including Jaime Jaquez Jr., Nikola Jovic, Pelle Larsson, and Davion Mitchell.

However, there is one notable name that will be out once again for the Heat: Tyler Herro. The dynamic guard is missing his second-straight game after undergoing an MRI that revealed issues with his ribs.

This will be the 31st game that Herro has missed, only playing 11 games so far this year due to a litany of injuries. It's a huge boon to a Heat team that looks to Herro as one of their primary scorers.

The Heat have been capable without Herro, though. In fact, they're just 4-7 with him in the lineup, and 18-13 without him. Led by offseason acquisition Norman Powell, centerpiece Bam Adebayo, and former Warrior All-Star and NBA Champion Andrew Wiggins, the Heat are still a very capable team that defeated a depleted Warriors team in Miami back in November.
