Warriors Remain Without Key Forward On Injury Report vs Magic cover image

The Golden State Warriors will be without one of their top forwards yet again against the Orlando Magic

The Golden State Warriors enter Tuesday at seventh in the Western Conference with a 9-6 record, riding a three-game winning streak as they near the end of their six-game road trip with a stop in Florida to see the Orlando Magic. While the Warriors have impressed in their past three wins, road matchups against the Magic and Miami Heat serve as big tests for them.

Even though the Magic are sitting at just 7-7 on the season, they're coming off an overtime loss to the Houston Rockets without Paolo Banchero, and were on a three-game winning streak prior to that. Golden State can't overlook the Magic, and they'll again be without one of their top players on Tuesday night.

Warriors Injury Report

It's no surprise at this point to see De'Anthony Melton on Golden State's injury report, as the combo guard remains OUT as he recovers from a torn ACL he suffered last season. However, his return could be coming soon, as he was seen on the court moving around before the Warriors' game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

However, the unfortunate news is that Jonathan Kuminga will remain OUT for Golden State, as the 23-year-old forward continues to battle a bilateral knee injury that has held him out for the past two games after playing just 12 minutes in the team's 125-120 win over the San Antonio Spurs on November 12th.

Excluding his early exit against the Spurs, Kuminga has averaged 14.9 points and 6.8 rebounds across 12 games this season, a promising sign for Golden State after their long-lasting negotiations this past offseason. If Kuminga can return to the team within the next few games and start to return to that level of production, he could be in store for a long-term extension in 2026.

Given Tuesday is the front end of a back-to-back, Kuminga could very well return as early as Wednesday in the road trip finale against the Heat, a tough matchup in which Jimmy Butler returns to Miami yet again since being dealt last trade deadline.

The last name listed for Golden State is Buddy Hield, as the three-point marksman is listed as PROBABLE, as he deals with an illness. Hield was sensational for Golden State during stretches last season, but has gotten off to a bad start with averages of 6.9 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists on 42.5/32.1/92.3 shooting splits.

As for the Magic, they'll again be without Banchero, as well as Jalen Suggs, being listed as QUESTIONABLE due to soreness in his right groin.

Tip-off in Orlando is set for 7:00 p.m. EST.
