The Golden State Warriors will be without a big starter.

The Golden State Warriors will begin their season on Wednesday, October 21, when they travel to take on the Los Angeles Lakers. The game begins at 10 PM ET and will air on ESPN.

The Warriors are returning much of the same team that failed to make the playoffs last season, as Steph Curry signed a new extension; Draymond Green opted out but ultimately re-signed, while Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis also re-signed. The team also signed Brandin Podziemski to a new extension and drafted Yaxel Lendeborg with the tenth overall pick in the 2026 draft.

The Lakers will look much different as LeBron James is gone, but Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves return.
