After three days of rest, the Washington Wizards are back in action to take Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.
After defeating the Indiana Pacers 108-89 on Sunday, Washington looks to continue their solid play versus one of the best teams in the league. San Antonio, on the other hand, looks to get back in the win column following a defeat to the New York Knicks in the NBA Cup Final on Tuesday.

Washington will have their hands full in this one, as superstar big man Victor Wembanyama will look to exploit Washington's lack of size. Luckily for Washington, sophomore big man Alex Sarr and third year wing Bilal Coulibaly are set to return to action versus San Antonio on Thursday. Getting Sarr and Coulibaly back will prove to be pivotal in this match, as their size and length will help Washington tremendously on the perimeter and down low. However, neutralizing Wembanyama will take a whole army.
This season, Wembanyama is averaging 25.8 points, 12.6 rebounds and 3.5 blocks a game -- and no, that isn't fake.
If Washington wants to win their second consecutive game, they have got find a way to match San Antonio's size. Luckily for Washington, they MAY have that answer in Marvin Bagley III.
In the month of December, Bagley III is averaging 14 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks a game. With Sarr sidelined since Nov 28, Bagley III has stepped up tremendously for Washington. Bagley III has been ferocious on the glass, especially over his last two games where he snagged 13 and 14 rebounds.

The twins have carved out very nice NBA careers after both going undrafted.
Julian is one of San Antonio's most important players as he provides a much needed 3&D element to their team. He's averaging 11 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1 steal a game on 42.7/37.5/84.3 shooting splits.
Justin on the other hand, has had a slower start to his 2025-26 campaign as he's only averaging 5 points and 4.4 rebounds a game. Like his brother, Justin has proven to be a dependable 3&D option for Washington.
Both brothers have gone from undrafted to now underrated, but which brother will get the upper hand in this matchup? I'll put my money on the bigger brother Justin (by seven minutes) to outplay his little brother.
