For the final back to back game of the season and the final home game of the year for the Washington Wizards, they face off against the Miami Heat on Friday. Coming off of a rough year at home, they'll look to capitalize one more time in front of their home crowd.

Washington lost to the Chicago Bulls on Thursday 119-108, even with six Wizards scoring in double figures and Julian Reese recording a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Now on an eight game losing streak, they have the chance to get their first win at home since February 20, a game where they beat the Indiana Pacers 131-118. Bad news for Washington however, Miami has dominated them in every single matchup this season.

The Heat have recorded 132, 150, and 152 points in each of their three games against each other this season, one of them being the Bam Adebayo game where he scored 83 points. If there's one thing that has gone well for the Wizards against the Heat, they've been able to score the ball too, putting up triple digits in every game they've played, but just a lackluster defensive performance all around from these squads.

While both teams have locked up their spots in the standings for the rest of the season, Washington as a bottom two seeded team in the whole NBA, and the Heat being the only confirmed play-in team as of now, there's no wiggle room for any movements in the standings this game.

Wizards will continue to turn to their youth and developmental squad, Reese being a big part of that, Leaky Black from the Capital City Go-Go, and Sharife Cooper, continuing to make strides in their early careers in Washington. While these last two games may seem meaningless, for these guys it's just more of an opportunity to prove themselves and get heavy minute reps before the offseason.

Bilal Coulibaly and Jaden Hardy are both ruled game-time decision ahead of tipoff. Alex Sarr is also a game-time decision despite head coach Brian Keefe noting that he was unlikely to return this season due to the toe injury that has sidelined him for the last month. Whether the Wizards have either Tre Johnson (foot) or Tristan Vukcevic (knee) available with a game-time decision tag.

The Heat will be without Dru Smith (foot), Nikola Jovic (ankle), and Terry Rozier (not injury related).
