The Washington Wizards will look to avoid a 15-game losing streak when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday afternoon
Oklahoma City Thunder (55-15, 26-8 away) vs. Washington Wizards (16-53, 11-25 home)
When: Saturday, March 21, 5:00 PM ET
Where: Capital One Arena, Washington, DC
How to watch: Monumental Sports Network, League Pass
With the losing streak now at 14 games, the Washington Wizards will look to pull off the upset at home to end it when they host one of the NBA's best with the Oklahoma City Thunder set to head to the nation's capital for the only time this season.
The two teams last met back on Oct. 30 when the Thunder secured a 19 point win at home in a game when CJ McCollum, now with the Atlanta Hawks, served as the team's leading scorer.
Heading into the end of the month as the top seed in the Western Conference, the Thunder have won ten consecutive game and own the league's best record by three games over the San Antonio Spurs. Oklahoma City has also won eight of their last ten road games.
Tre Johnson enters tipoff with a questionable tag due to right foot soreness, along with Will Riley with right adductor soreness listed as the reason. Leaky Black, Anthony Davis, Kyshawn George, Cam Whitmore and Trae Young all remain inactive while D'Angelo Russell still remains away from the team.
Bub Carrington, who appeared to suffer a hand injury in the closing minutes of Thursday's loss against the Detroit Pistons, is not listed on the injury report where he will anchor the backcourt days removed from a 30-point game with zero turnovers.
The Thunder will also enter tipoff a bit shorthanded with Branden Carlson, Payton Sandfort, Thomas Sorber, Nikola Topic and Jalen Williams all sidelined.
But Saturday afternoon will mark another late season test for a Wizards team in the midst of facing exclusively playoff-caliber teams over the last 11 days - featuring double digit losses in four of the six games. Washington has done well recently staying competitive in either a quarter or half, but a complete 48 minute performance has yet to materialize for a reeling Wizards team. With one game left against a playoff contender with a road game against the New York Knicks on Sunday, all eyes will be on whether the Wizards can change the narrative - and maybe end the losing streak.
Saturday also marks the final home game until the Philadelphia 76ers come to town on April 1 with a five-game road trip looming starting on Sunday.
