Washington's blistering offense and stifling defense overwhelmed an injury-plagued Brooklyn, securing their sixth win in ten games with dominant play.

With seconds left in the third quarter, Bub Carrington danced around with the basketball. With one swift move, he broke down his defender to the point he stumbled. Carrington stepped back and knocked down the three.

That moment felt indicative of a night that just felt easy for the Washington Wizards — who took advantage of an extremely depleted Brooklyn Nets Team.

Washington led by as much as 28 at one point and it never felt close. The Wizards ran away with a 119-99 win over the Nets. The young Wizards have now won four of their last five, and six of their last ten.

Justin Champagnie led the way for the Wizards, scoring 19 points off the bench on 9/12 shooting. He also chipped in for four offensive rebounds.

Washington won on the glass all night —- grabbing 18 more rebounds.

The Wizards got off to a scorching hot start, knocking down their first six looks from the field. The veterans Khris Middleton and CJ McCollum scored the team's first seven points.

Washington kept its foot on the gas in the first, forcing key turnovers that led to more buckets in transition. It ended up starting the game making 10 of its first 15 attempts from the field. The Wizards grew their lead to ten fast.

A theme for Washington in recent weeks has been going to deep into the rotation early. They played 10 of their 13 available players in the first quarter, including AJ Johnson, who became a recent addition to the rotation.

Champagnie's buzzer-beating three grew their lead to 13 at the end of the first quarter. Washington's efficiency was on full display.

Brian Keefe kept a lineup of all reserves for an extended period, which slightly dipped their efficiency.  However, after a few minutes and a Wizards' timeout, they used an 8-2 run to take back control. Washington simply overmatched Brooklyn almost all first half.

The half felt simple for the Wizards. They outrebounded the Nets, out-shot them and forced nine turnovers -- leading to a 14-point cushion at the break.

After a slightly slow start in the second half, Washington picked back up where it left off. Johnson nailed a transition three, marking his fourth-straight multiple three-pointer games. Washington grew its lead to 16 six minutes into the second half.

Sarr notched his fourth block to make it back-to-back games where he's reached that mark. He  leads the NBA in blocks with 2.3 per night.

Quickly, Washington grew its lead to over 20. It was the easiest a game had looked all season for it. Brooklyn made plenty of mistakes, and Washington took advantage.

Bub Carrington's ankle breaker leading to a three with second remaining in the third felt symbolic of how the night was for Washington. The Wizards grew their advantage to 23 before the start of the fourth.

The Nets made a miniature run in the fourth after the Wizards went up as much as 28, but it was far too late. Washington closed the door in the final minutes and completed its resounding win.
