The Washington Wizards have announced multiple bobblehead nights in addition to other promotions during the upcoming 2026-27 regular season
Shortly before the team's annual open practice inside Capital One Arena, the Washington Wizards unveiled its promotional schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season, offering several ways to capitalize on the heightened fan interest.
The first 15,000 fans in attendance on opening night against the Milwaukee Bucks will receive a Wizards-branded rally towel. It marks the first of seven 'Wizards Wednesdays', which will feature giveaways for the first 10,000 fans in attendance, including a sling bag on Feb. 17 and a cherry blossom snow globe on March 24.
The Wizards will hold an 'Ice' Trae Young bobblehead for the first 10,000 fans in attendance for the Nov. 16 game against the Memphis Grizzlies, while the first 10,000 fans in attendance for the Dec. 12 matchup against the Charlotte Hornets will receive a beanie designed by Tre Johnson. The player promos don't end there with the first 10,000 fans in attendance for the Jan. 17 game against the Indiana Pacers set to receive a cherry blossom City Edition-themed sweatshirt designed by Will Riley.
Jan. 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers will serve as Hoops & Hound Night, while Marvel Night will materialize on Jan. 28 against the Sacramento Kings with a special ticket package including an AJ Dybantsa Spiderman-themed bobblehead.
Washington will also honor John Thompson Jr., the DC icon and father of Monumental executive John Thompson III, during Black Excellence Night when the Chicago Bulls head to Capital One Arena on Monday, Feb. 8. The first 10,000 fans in attendance are set to receive a commemorative Coach Thompson gym towel.
When Washington hosts the Utah Jazz on March 6, a matchup featuring the top two picks from the 2026 NBA Draft, the Wizards will give away an AJ Dybantsa Rookie Edition bobblehead for the first 10,000 fans in attendance.
The regular season and home finale, set for Sunday, April 11 against the Detroit Pistons, will serve as the Wizards' fan appreciation day with the first 15,000 fans set to receive a T-shirt.
The Wizards also announced several other additional ticket packages, including Military Appreciation Night when the Detroit Pistons arrive on Nov. 12. Nov. 28 against the Orlando Magic will serve as Kids Day, while the Dec. 23 home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers will serve as Fit Night. Feb. 13 against the Milwaukee Bucks will serve as HBCU & D9 Night, while comes one day after First Responders Night when the Wizards host the Brooklyn Nets on Feb. 12. Feb. 17 vs. Miami Heat will serve as Scout Night, in addition to March 24 against the Denver Nuggets as Cherry Blossom Night and March 31 against the Chicago Bulls as Pride Night.
Meanwhile, the Wizards announced a sellout of its allotted 2,500 tickets for Thursday's open practice with the organization looking to climb out of the bottom of attendance rankings for the first time in three years.
