On the next episode of the DC Roundtable Podcast hosted by Tyler Lochte and Ahmed Ghafir diving into the Washington Wizards, we dive into everything you need to know three games into the 2026 preseason slate.

The Wizards suffered its first loss of preseason in a 131-122 finish against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night, yet it was a game that featured plenty of good with Bilal Coulibaly and Kyshawn George dazzling in the second and final preseason game inside Capital One Arena. We also discuss the impact of Anthony Davis through a pair of appearances with his presence on defense clearly felt, while Deandre Ayton has been able to elevate the frontcourt rotation as expected with a chance to impact the game on both ends.

We also dive into the good and bad from Trae Young, including 19 assists and 13 turnovers over his last two games. That includes a double-double in his latest outing, followed by eight assists in the first preseason game inside Capital One Arena. Yet the turnovers have been a concern, for Young and the rest of the roster, with the Wizards leading the league in the category through the first two games. How much concern should there be with the overall turnover numbers with so many new pieces?

Bilal Coulibaly is also nearing his contract extension deadline with Monday the type of performance needed to show he's capable of taking the next step. But what will the Wizards do? Have the prior deals for Corey Kispert and Deni Avdija provided a framework for what to expect?
