Alabama, fresh off a road win, faces Gonzaga tonight. A crucial matchup to prove their national contender status and defend their home court.

Alabama basketball is gearing up for another big game of the season as the No. 10 Crimson Tide host 13th-ranked Gonzaga tonight. It's the Crimson Tide's fourth straight top 15 matchup. Alabama has wins over 5th ranked St. John's and 8th ranked Illinois and one loss against top ranked Purdue who the Tide lost to at home in Tuscaloosa on November 13th.

This game tonight against the Gonzaga Bulldogs is a matchup loaded with national intrigue, momentum swings, and an opportunity for Alabama to solidify itself as a true contender on the national stage.

The Tide are with renewed confidence after a massive 90-86 road win over Illinois in Chicago, a victory that corrected the frustrations from their previous home game: a tough loss to Purdue. Against the Boilermakers, Alabama battled but struggled to match Purdue’s size and execution in the closing minutes. But instead of letting that setback linger, the Tide responded with exactly what you want from a top-10 team: composure, toughness, and results.

The win over Illinois showed what this Alabama team is capable of when it locks in. The Tide shot well, rebounded with purpose, and showcased the depth that makes this roster so dangerous. Philon, Holloway, Bristow, and Allen all delivered in big moments, proving this is not a team reliant on one star—it’s a team built on balance, spacing, and relentless pace.

Tonight, they’ll need all of that and more.

Gonzaga enters the matchup with experience, discipline, and the reputation of a program that rarely flinches on big stages.

Mark Few’s teams are known for efficiency, ball movement, and tough interior play, which are areas Alabama must be sharp in from the opening tip.

The Tide will have to rebound with focus, defend without fouling, and capitalize on transition opportunities to control tempo.

For Alabama, this isn’t just another nonconference test, it’s a chance to make a national statement at home.

After proving they can win on the road against ranked competition, the next step is defending Coleman Coliseum with authority. A victory over Gonzaga would strengthen Alabama’s resume, boost confidence, and send a message that this team’s potential reaches far beyond December.

With talent on both sides and postseason implications already taking shape, tonight’s matchup has all the makings of an instant classic.

If Alabama brings the same fire it showed in Chicago, the Tide may walk away with another defining win.
