This Alabama Crimson Tide star has received a major NFL Draft update heading into Week 6.

The Alabama Crimson Tide look like one of the best teams in the country heading into their Week 6 showdown with the Georgia Bulldogs, and one of the biggest reasons why has been their aerial attack.

Led by redshirt freshman quarterback Keelon Russell, Alabama's passing game has been markedly efficient, and it helps that the Crimson Tide boast one of the nation's best one-two punches in wide receivers Ryan Coleman-Williams and Lotzeir Brooks.

Coleman-Williams is now in his junior campaign and is auditioning for the 2027 NFL Draft as a result, and while the bag has been mixed, there is no question that the six-foot tall burner possesses impressive potential.

Through the first five games of 2026, Coleman-Williams has logged 20 catches for 376 yards and four touchdowns, averaging an incredible 18.8 yards per grab.

But where does Coleman-Williams currently stand in what slated to be a historically deep wide receiver draft class?

Well, in The Athletic's latest NFL mock draft, writer Nick Baumgarnder had Coleman-Williams coming off the board at No. 31, where he would go to the Kansas City Chiefs. Not a bad fit.

Coleman-Williams was the fifth receiver on Baumgardner's list, coming in behind Jeremiah Smith, Charlie Becker, Cam Coleman and Nick Marsh.

Baumgarnder noted that while Coleman-Williams can look like the most explosive receiver in the country at times, he also has a tendency to drop easy passes. However, he qualified his criticism by saying that the 19-year-old has improved in that area this season.

Coleman-Williams arrived at Alabama in 2024 and burst on to the scene during his freshman campaign, hauling in 48 receptions for 865 yards and eight scores.

Much was expected from the former five-star recruit last year, but he actually had a very disappointing sophomore showing, finishing with 49 catches for 689 yards while reaching the end zone four times.

There were games where Coleman-Williams was almost invisible in Alabama's offense last season, and it had many wondering about his NFL potential.

That being said, there is no question the junior playmaker has bounced back here in 2026 and is on his way to re-establishing himself as a first-round talent.

While Coleman-Williams does have a long way to go, he has caught four touchdowns over the past three games and is definitely forming quite a connection with Russell.

We'll see if the Mobile, Al. native can continue to improve as the campaign progresses and potentially boost his draft stock even further.

A big game against Georgia this Saturday would certainly help.
