Alabama has generated plenty of NFL talent over the years.
The Alabama Crimson Tide are looking to get back on track this coming weekend when they square off against the Tennessee Volunteers.
Alabama dropped a tough game last week against the Georgia Bulldogs, with the team just not able to make the big play in the end. But this Crimson Tide team remains one of the best in the country, being led by the strong play on both sides of the ball.
The defense for the Crimson Tide has been very good, which has been a calling card for this program over the years. Alabama has helped put so many talented players into the NFL, and it's a reason why top prospects come to
One of the better players from this year's defensive unit is cornerback Zabien Brown, who is on track to head to the league next season. Brown gives Alabama a strong secondary to work with, and he has generated a lot of NFL talk.
For the year, Brown has recorded 17 total tackles, four pass deflections, one fumble recovery, through six games. Opposing teams have recognized the talent of Brown, and they have tried to go away from him this year.
Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski put together a mock draft for the 2027 class, with Brown going in the first-round. Sobleski has Brown being taken with pick No. 21 by the Dallas Cowboys, giving him a solid landing spot.
Dallas has again been one of the worst defenses in the NFL, and adding more help to the secondary shud help them get back on track. The Cowboys did trade for Joey Porter Jr. this season, but the team still has a need to keep adding more to the defense.
Pairing Porter with Brown could offer the Cowboys a solid duo on the outside, giving this team more skill. Dallas is expected to move on from veteran DaRon Bland this coming offseason, opening the door for someone like Brown to come in.
Playing at Alabama will prepare Brown for the high expectations that would come from being on the Cowboys. Like the Crimson Tide, the Cowboys are consistently in the media, and this can be an adjustment for some players to deal with.
But Brown would have plenty of experience, and he could thrive playing in Dallas if selected by them. Brown can play on the perimeter, showing strong skills in zone coverage with the Crimson Tide.
Overall, the Cowboys could be a solid landing spot for the Alabama star, giving him a chance to have eyes on him right away in the league.
