While most eyes in Tuscaloosa are on quarterback Ty Simpson, there are several other Alabama Crimson Tide players who will fly off the board within the first couple of rounds of the NFL Draft.
One of them is wide receiver Germie Bernard.
Bernard was Simpson's favorite target this past season and is projected by most to be a Day 2 pick in the draft this April, and T.J. Randall of Pro Football Network has predicted Bernard to land with the Buffalo Bills with the 60th overall selection.
"We get a new weapon for Josh Allen. While it would serve them well to select a larger-bodied option, the board hasn’t promoted such a move at this time," Randall wrote. "No worries. Bernard isn’t little by any means (6-foot, 205 pounds), even if his measurements rival those of others in the room who made the most impact. He’s a terrific option here."
The Bills are in desperate need of a No. 1 receiver, and it appears that Randall feels Bernard could become that guy in Buffalo.
While there are certainly questions about Bernard's ceiling, he seems to have a pretty high floor and has the potential to develop into a very reliable playmaker.

The 22-year-old actually began his career at Washington in 2022 and spent two years with the Huskies before following Kalen DeBoer over to Alabama in 2024.
Bernard caught 50 passes for 794 yards and a pair of touchdowns during his debut campaign with the Crimson Tide.
He isn't exactly the most explosive option in the world, but he did manage to average a solid 14.2 yards per catch throughout his collegiate tenure.
The Bills would absolutely represent a terrific landing spot for Bernard, as there would be no shortage of opportunities for him in Buffalo.
Not only that, but he would have one of the best quarterbacks on the planet throwing him the football, so it stands to reason that Bernard could post some big numbers with the Bills.
Who knows? Maybe Bernard can be the guy to finally get Buffalo over the hump.
That being said, this draft class is very deep at wide receiver, so we'll have to see if the Bills truly express interest in Bernard.
