Alabama receiver Noah Rogers leaves practice on a cart. Head coach Kalen DeBoer confirms an MRI is needed to assess the undisclosed injury's extent.

Alabama WR Carted Off Field, Kalen DeBoer Provides Update

The Alabama Crimson Tide are going through some bumps and bruises during spring practice.

Freshman running back EJ Crowell was spotted in a walking boot at practice on Saturday, about a week after head coach Kalen DeBoer said he hadn't practiced since March.

The Crimson Tide appear to be taking a cautious approach with injuries in the spring, trying to keep the roster as healthy as possible for training camp.

Alabama has another injury to monitor this spring.

Per Griffin McVeigh of On3, transfer wide receiver Noah Rogers left Saturday's practice on a cart. He was unable to put any weight on his lower body before being carted off the field.

During his news conference after practice, DeBoer said Rodgers will need an MRI to discover the extend of the undisclosed injury.

“We’ll have to get evaluated here,” DeBoer said. “Unfortunate with him getting dinged up. So, we’ll kind of see what that looks like.

"He’ll be able to get the MRIs and all that kind of stuff. We’ll see what happens. We’ll have more information here as we go through the spring and summer.”

Rogers is coming to Alabama from NC State. (He was a redshirted in his first season in college at Ohio State.) He recorded 33 receptions for 441 yards and two touchdowns in his second season with the Wolfpack.

The six-foot-two, 205-pound athlete was set to be a key contributor for the Crimson Tide in 2026. Alabama needs him to be a consistent target in short yardage situations for the upcoming season.

Before the injury, DeBoer suggested Rogers had been a consistent playmaker in the spring, helping his young quarterbacks move the chains. DeBoer believes the young wide receiver was standing out at practices this spring.

“Noah’s been consistent, had a couple nice catches, made some big plays there when we needed to,” DeBoer said. “Even sometimes short ones where we got to move the chains. He’d probably be the one that stood out the most.”

Rogers' injury will be one to keep an eye on before training camp this summer. It's unclear when the program will provide an update on the results of the MRI.
