Get the details on the NCAA Softball Tournament regional schedule.

The Arkansas softball team knows when it will start its NCAA Tournament on Friday at the home-field Fayetteville Regional. Let's give you the schedule for the full weekend of softball on the UA campus, with all times being local (Central time):

Friday, May 15

Saturday, May 16

Game 3 -- 1 p.m. | Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2

Game 4 -- 3:30 p.m. | Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 2

Game 5 -- 6 p.m. | Winner of Game 4 vs. Loser of Game 3

Sunday, May 17

Game 6 -- 1 p.m. | Winner of Game 3 vs. Winner of Game 5

If winner of Game 3 wins Game 6, the regional is over and the Game 6 winner is the regional champion, advancing to the super regionals the following weekend.

If the winner of Game 5 wins Game 6, there will be a winner-take-all Game 7 for the regional championship at 3:30 p.m.

You can see the layout of the schedule. Arkansas goes first on Friday. If the Hogs win that game, they will be the more rested team for a winners' bracket game on Saturday. Washington would have a shorter turnaround from Friday night to Saturday afternoon. If Arkansas can win that Saturday afternoon game, the Hogs would get the remainder of Saturday off. They would be able to rest up for Sunday and would get two chances to win a game and punch their ticket to the super regionals. Winning that first game against Fordham instantly puts UA in a great position to win the regional and achieve the first goal on the road to the Women's College World Series.
