ASU went into halftime down by three scores to come back and beat #24 TCU.

Arizona State University had its largest comeback victory against a ranked opponent in the program's history.

In the first half of the game TCU was up by 17 points, looking like a dominate win for the Bullfrogs.

The home team ASU Sundevils stepped it up before going into the half with two quick scores. Quarterback Sam Levitt threw a 57-yard touchdown pass to Jordyn Tyson, and had an 8-yard rushing touchdown shortly after. The Sundevils went into the halftime cutting the deficit to only three points, down 17-14.

The third quarter ended with ASU being down still by a touchdown now 24-17. The story is really how the Sundevils defense stepped up in the fourth quarter. Holding TCU to no points in the fourth was a step up after allowing points in every quarter.

Most of the fourth quarter was a defensive battle, with either team being able to convert on third downs. It was not until Levitt put together a big drive with 1:50 left in the game which led to a four yard touchdown pass to tie the game.

TCU had the ball on the next possession when the Sundevil defense stepped up and stripped the Bullfrog quarterback, recovering the fumble and setting up ASU for a game winning drive.

ASU kicker Jesus Gomez had missed multiple field goals earlier in the game, now being set up for redemption. With a 1:14 left Gomez did get his redemption moment, drilling a 23-yard field goal.

Texas Christian then had one last chance to win the game with over a minute on the clock. The Sundevils defense were not about to let up the momentum they have had the entire fourth quarter. A throw from the TCU quarterback ends up being intercepted by the ASU defense.

ASU out-gained TCU 498 yards to 269 total yards. The Sundevils defense picked up six sacks with an astounding 13 tackles for a loss. Coach Kenny Dillingham gave all the credit to the character of the players of Arizona State.

This game proved the Sundevils are capable of closing out in tight games against ranked opponents. Now 2-0 in conference play, if ASU can continue to be dependable at the end of games they could find themselves back in the rankings very soon.
