Alex Golesh greets Auburn fans with exciting promise cover image

Auburn's new head coach layed out his plan for success.

The Alex Golesh era is now here, and while fans of the Auburn Tigers will have to wait until September to see what their team looks like on the field, the new man at the program's helm laid out a blueprint of what can be expected.

Golesh expressed how the Tigers will be an incredibly difficult team to outwork under his leadership.

“What you’re going to get from me, from our staff and as we get rolling our players, is the hardest-working, toughest, grittiest program in the entire country," Golesh said. "We’re going to work day in and day out. We’re going to find wins at every single margin we can find. We’re going to build a process-driven program."

Golesh also explained how Auburn will be a process-driven program, and everything will be planned out in extensive detail to help the team perform to the best of its ability.

"I truly believe that if you buy into a process, a way of doing things day in and day out, from the moment you wake up, to how you come in, to how you attack your relationships in the building, to how you attack the weight room, sports medicine, nutrition, the film room, the teaching, and then certainly the work out on the field; if you buy into eating right, sleeping right, hydrating right, outworking people at the things that nobody else sees, the end result will happen," Golesh said.

Additionally, Golesh explained how he believes Auburn will be a fun team to watch when it takes the field under his leadership for the first time.

"We’re also going to have a hell of a lot of fun doing it. We’re going to be explosive on offense," Golesh said. "We’re going to play really fast. We’re going to challenge teams in every imaginable way. We’re going to run the freaking ball. People around here like running the football, and I can respect it. We’re going to be explosive. We’re going to play really fast and it’s going to be a brand of football that’s going to be fun to watch."

Golesh is aiming to bring the Tigers back to their place as an annual contender in the SEC. He plans on building up to that level of play by following a progress.
