Auburn dominated Queens on Monday night and non-conference play is now complete.

With the month of December coming to a close, college basketball teams across the country are rounding out conference play and beginning to turn their attention to league play.

Now that they have taken care of business against the Queens Royals — picking up a 106-65 win over them at home inside Neville Arena on Monday night — the Auburn Tigers are among teams that have turned the page to conference play.

Auburn (9-4) had no trouble handling business against Queens. The Tigers never trailed in this contest, and had built a 30-4 lead less than eight minutes into the game.

Auburn's ability to shoot the ball effectively made a difference in the way it dominated this contest from tipoff until final buzzer.

When it was all said and done, Auburn shot 35-of-63, or 55.6%, from the field, 15-of-28, or 53.6%, from 3-point range and 21-of-30, or 70%, from the free-throw line.

While the team's ability to effectively put the ball in the net made the difference, Elyjah Freeman and Kevin Overton led the way in the offensive onslaught.

Freeman led all scorers with 27 points, Overton followed closely with 23. Additionally, Keyshawn Hall recorded 18 points and Sebastian Williams-Adams had 10.

Auburn also outrebounded Queens by a significant margin, finishing with a 40-26 advantage on the glass.

Nasir Mann led the way for Queens on the offensive end of the floor, finishing the game with 13 points. He was the only member of the team to score in double figures, but three other members of the Royals finished the game with nine points.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday when they travel to Athens, Georgia to open their SEC slate against the No. 23 Georgia Bulldogs at Stegeman Coliseum. Tipoff is set for noon CT and SEC Network will carry the television broadcast.
