Texas A&M gave Auburn its second SEC loss of the season, but the ending did not sit well with the Tigers' faithful.

AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn Tigers hosted the Texas A&M Aggies at Neville Arena on Tuesday, Jan. 6, and the ending was not popular with the home crowd.

Texas A&M (12-3, 2-0 SEC) picked up a 90-88 win over Auburn (9-6, 0-2 SEC), but KeShawn Murphy launched a buzzer-beater 3-pointer that went in and would have handed Auburn the win, but after review the officials determined that the ball did not leave his hand in time.

Texas A&M got out in front early, but Auburn rallied back and carried a 10-point lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Tigers picked up where they left off in the second half, and even built their lead up to 61-45, but the Aggies flipped a switch and slowly chipped away at Auburn's lead. Then Texas A&M built its own lead up to 11 points with 6:49 left in the game.

Auburn came back and made it a game, and after the two sides traded turns at the free-throw line, the controversial ending sequence was set in motion.

Keyshawn Hall continues to elevate the standard for himself as he put together one of the best performances he has had so far this season. He led Auburn in scoring by a significant margin with 32 points, no one else on the team reached 20. Additionally, Hall led the team in rebounds with 12 and in assists with three.

Auburn had a similar shooting performance to the one it had against Georgia on Saturday, finishing the game 44.6% from the field, 26.9% from 3-point range and 74.2% from the free-throw line.

Pop Isaacs led Texas A&M in scoring with 21 points and in assists with five, Rashaun Agee and Jacari Lane co-led the team in rebounds with four each.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday when they host the No. 15 Arkansas Razorbacks at Neville Arena. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. CT, and ESPN will carry the broadcast.
