Auburn has improved to 4-1 after dominating Jackson State on Wednesday night.

After falling 73-72 at the hands of the Houston Cougars at Birmingham's Legacy Arena on Sunday afternoon, the No. 22 Auburn Tigers got back on the right track on Wednesday night.

The Tigers (4-1) picked up a convincing 112-66 win over the Jackson State Tigers (0-4), providing the team with a confidence boost before heading out to Las Vegas to compete in the Player Era Festival at Michelob Ultra Arena.

Jackson State jumped out to an early 5-2 lead, but after a 3-pointer by Elyjah Freeman evened the score at five, the Tigers remeined in the driver's seat for the remainder of the game, never trailing again.

Auburn put together four double-digit runs in the first half, adding 10, 11, 13 and 12 points to their score, respectively. This set them up with a 55-24 lead to take into the locker room at half time.

Jackson State prevented Auburn from going on extensive runs during the second half of the contest, but it also didn't go on any of its own. This resulted in another dominant half from the home Tigers in route to their 46-point win.

Keyshawn Murphy led the home Tigers in scoring with 19 points, Filip Jović, who shot 8-of-10 from the field, followed closely behind with 18 points. Murphy also led the team in rebounds with seven. Tahaad Pettiford led Auburn in assists with five.

    Auburn shot 42-of-65, 64.6%, from the field, 13-of-32, 40.6%, from 3-point range and 15-of-19, 78.9%, from the free-throw line.

Jayme Mitchell Jr. led Jackson State in scoring with 24 points. Ebo Wilson led the team in rebounds with eight. Daeshun Ruffin led in assists with four.

Jackson State shot 23-of-56, 41.1%, from the field, 6-of-18, 33.3%, from 3-point range and 14-of-19, 73.7% from the free-throw line.

The Tigers return to action on Monday night when they take on the Oregon Ducks in their first game of the Player Era Festival. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT and the broadcast can be found on truTV.
