Auburn rounds out its non-conference slate against Queens inside Neville Arena on Monday night. Here is Daniel Locke's final prediction for the game.
For the final time in the 2025-26 campaign, the Auburn Tigers will take on a non-conference opponent in the regular season.
Auburn will be taking on the Queens Royals in its final non-conference contest. This will be the first meeting of the two teams, as Queens is a recent addition to NCAA Division One.
Queens Overview:
Record: 5-7
Last time out: 108-80 loss against Arkansas on the road
KenPom ranking: No. 204
NCAA NET ranking: No. 220
Pregame Analysis:
According to Draft Kings, the Tigers are a 24.5-point favorite against Queens. Auburn has conducted business well against mid-major opponents with a few exceptions this season, and I expect to see that trend continue in this matchup.
I believe Auburn will be eager to get the bad taste left by the Purdue loss out of its mouth and finish the non-conference portion of the schedule on a high note by placing a tally in the win column for the ninth time this season.
I think Auburn will control the game throughout its duration and build momentum before preparing to enter the gauntlet that SEC play has become in recent seasons.
While Queens has taken on numerous power-five opponents this season, they haven't been able to put together a performance against one that leads me to believe that Auburn is at risk of being on the bad end of an upset, although you never know. I don't believe anyone had the Tigers struggling to put away Bethune-Cookman on their bingo card, but Auburn's season-opener was nearly spoiled.
If Auburn can avoid turnovers and have a decent shooting performance, I believe it will cruise to victory.
