For the first time in the 2025-26 campaign, the Auburn Tigers will take on a conference opponent at time.
Auburn will be taking on the TexasA&M Aggies in its SEC home opener. This will be the 24th meeting of the two teams, and Texas A&M has a 16-7 lead in the series all-time.
Record: 11-3
Last time out: 75-72 loss against LSU at home
KenPom ranking: No. 46
NCAA NET ranking: No. 53
I fully expect Auburn to come out with a chip on its shoulder after narrowly falling to Georgia in overtime on Saturday. Texas A&M didn't look great against LSU at home on Saturday, and I haven't been blown away by what I have seen from them this season.
I think head coach Steven Pearl's efforts to tighten the ship surrounding the program will begin to show on Tuesday night.
I think the fast-pace game will benefit Texas A&M in the beginning, but I think Auburn will take control during the second part of the first half and earn a comfortable victory.
Texas A&M doesn't have a win over a ranked opponent to its name this season. The Aggies haven't looked great against power five competition that doesn't jump off the page, and I think playing in front of a crowd that's hungry for a win will help Auburn come out on top.
If Auburn can avoid turnovers and have a decent shooting performance, I believe it will cruise to victory.
