After four consecutive losses to open SEC play, Auburn has gotten back into the win column with a win over Arkansas.

After falling for four consecutive weeks to open the conference portion of the schedule, the Auburn Tigers have managed to return to the win column by earning a 33-24 victory over Arkansas on the road.

Auburn (4-4, 1-4 SEC) took an early lead, scoring the only touchdown in the first quarter. Jackson Arnold connected with Cam Coleman for a 23-yard touchdown pass to cap off a nine-play drive that covered 67 yards.

A 36-yard field goal by Alex McPherson extended the Tigers’ lead to 10-0. After he struggled against Missouri last week, McPherson made the difference today, hitting six field goals with a long of 47 yards.

Arkansas struck back by putting three consecutive touchdowns on the board to take a 21-10 lead.

The sides traded field goals for a while, but Auburn trailed 24-19 after McPherson hit a 26-yard attempt with 12:03 remaining in the game.

Taylen Green threw a pass that was intercepted by Auburn’s Rayshawn Pleasant and returned 49 yards for a touchdown, giving Auburn a 27-24 lead with 9:15 remaining in the game.

Jackson Arnold did not have an overly convincing performance, as he went 7-of-12 passing for 73 yards, one touchdown and one interception, his second of the season.

As a result, the Tigers turned to Ashton Daniels, who went 6-of-8 passing for 77 yards, providing the team with the spark it needed to get over the hunp and find a way to come out on top.

The dominance of Jeremiah Cobb also paved the way to the Auburn victory, as he led all rushers with 153 yards off 28 carries.

The Tigers will hope to see this victory help them turn the tide of the season and lead to a winning-streak.

The next opponent Auburn faces will give it a chance to do so.

The Tigers will look to pick up their second win in a row by handling business against the Kentucky Wildcats at home inside Jordan-Hare Stadium next week. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT, and SEC Network will carry the broadcast.
