The Auburn Tigers return to action after a much-needed week off, but they will have one of their toughest challenges of the season as the Georgia Bulldogs comes to town.
The Tigers' offensive line played a significant role in them dropping their two opening games of conference play, but the unit is fully focused on helping the team pull off the upset against Georgia.
"Just screening, watching film on Georgia," said Jeremiah Wright. "We got to let the last game go, learn from our mistakes. We’re on to Georgia, and we're preparing to be ready to be back at home. We were on the road the last two games, two tough environments. And we know the expectation heading to Jordan Hare. That's what we're going to do. We're going to execute."
The Tigers are hoping to establish their run game, one of their biggest strengths when it goes according to plan.
"It's very different when we're able to go out there and just play our game, be Auburn," Wright said. "We got to go out there — we're not playing them, we're playing ourselves. We got to go out there and execute and do what we know, what we're best at doing, and that's run the ball. And also passing, just being able to just be dominant and control the line of scrimmage and give our quarterback time to operate and make our playmakers make plays."
Taking on Georgia is a tall task, but Wright and company are confident in their ability to get the job done, if they remain focused on what they have been working on for two weeks.
"Composure, just being you, be yourself," Wright said. "You don't got to go out there and do the most, be extra, just be you. Go out there where you know what you're doing. Coach is going to put the best guys out there and the guys that know how to execute and do well in practice. So we're kind of straining and doing an excellent job, and we're going to keep pushing each other and go out there and get this win."
Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT and ESPN will carry the broadcast.
