After losing in four straight contests, the Auburn Tigers are doing what they can to avoid falling apart.

To say that things are not going well for the Auburn Tigers would be an understatement.

Auburn has failed to come out on top in all four of its opening contests of SEC play. Amid this skid, turmoil such as the unclear future of Hugh Freeze as the program's head coach and the departure of Damari Alston, a team captain and membership of the Tigers' leadership council, members of the team are trying their hardest to keep everything under control.

Among these players is standout cornerback Kayin Lee, who has been a difference-maker for Auburn on the defensive side of the ball since joining the program.

"Just been working on trying to keep the team together," Lee said. "Just trying to win some football games and just stay together, that’s really the biggest thing right now. Just brotherhood. It’s really more than football."

For Lee and company, remaining together goes deeper than what happens on the field.

It is accomplished be relying on the bond the team has with one another, as the chemistry it has developed together allows it to handle challenges that come up, such as a skid in the middle of the season.

Lee feels as though coming out on the other side of this rough stretch and salvaging the back half of the season could make Auburn's story that much better at the end of the year.

"I feel like our connection, we’re not losing no trust within each other," Lee said. "It’s just bringing us closer. Everything we’ve been though is bringing us closer. I feel like it’s -- you ever see in a movie, if it’s no conflict in the movie, you wouldn’t like it. So, we loving it right now, we just embracing everything."

Despite not having an ideal start to the conference portion of the schedule, Lee and the Tigers know they still have plenty to play for and intend to do so to the best of their ability.
