After falling against No. 9 Texas A&M on the road, Auburn football sits at 3-2 and 0-2 in conference play.
Jackson Arnold managed to escape College Station without throwing an interception, but his high points of the day do not go much further than that.
Arnold went 18-of-33 on passing attempts for 125 yards. He did not always have a considerable amount of time to get rid of the ball, and it was not uncommon for him to have to improvise.
Arnold is determined to move on as quickly as possible and begin preparing for the looming contest against No. 5 Georgia that is waiting for the Tigers in two weeks. He is aiming to learn what he can from this performance, and is encouraging his teammates to do the same.
"Yeah, it sucks," Arnold said. "Obviously to go back and look over the game and see what we can improve on, what I can improve on. The little things that we can do. We got two weeks to go and get it right. So I'm hoping we use that time wisely."
Auburn will have a much-needed opportunity to catch its breath and do some reevaluating before jumping right back into its difficult SEC schedule. The Tigers will host the Bulldogs at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Oct. 11 at 6 or 8 p.m. CT.
"I told them in there, the ball is going to bounce our way soon," head coach Hugh Freeze said. "They've got to stick together, because these are all frustrating, and in these times, that is one of the biggest challenges."
