The Auburn Tigers have one of their toughest tasks of the season in front of them this week, as they take on the No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs.
Having a chance to pull off an upset will always get a team fired up, and the Tigers want to end their extensive losing streak against Georgia.
"It would mean the world," Blocton said. "This is the biggest game, because it's the next game. I want to win every game. Every win we get is a big one to me."
Despite having dropped two games in a row, Auburn remains calm and focused on the defensive side of the ball.
"Good. As a defense, we always say, 'Good.' Any situation? Good. We drop two games? Good," Blocton said. "We get to see how we are against adversity. That's just how we think about stuff. That's why you'll see us in Tiger Walk, with the black shirts that say "Good" on them. That's what that references."
After having two straight road games to begin the SEC portion of the schedule, Blocton and the rest of the Tigers are eager to return home and compete in the friendly confines of Jordan-Hare Stadium.
"Yeah, I love having the crowd behind me," Blocton said. "Because there ain't nothing like it, making a big play on a Saturday night with the crowd just erupting. It'll make you feel like you're on top of the world. I'm definitely ready for it."
Stopping Georgia's ground attack is a high priority for the Tigers this week, as doing so would give them a chance to pull off the upset.
"That's just what we stamp our name on: Stopping the run," Blocton said. "Like, we don't allow that. That's a non-negotiable. We stop the run over here. That's just how we live. That's just what we do."
Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT and ESPN will carry the broadcast.
