Auburn's Alex Golesh has confidence in the Auburn Fanbase making it to Atlanta.

Alex Golesh is confident in the Auburn fanbase.

It should come as no surprise that the first-year head coach has high expectations for Auburn Tigers fans. He has praised them multiple times since being named as Auburn's head coach and will aim to give them more to cheer for during his tenure on The Plains.

Auburn's season opener against Baylor was moved from a traditional home-and-home to battling it out in Atlanta, Georgia, as the Aflac Kickoff Game to start the Golesh Era at Auburn. Even though the game is not at Jordan-Hare Stadium, he believes the Auburn Family will show up and be loud for his team.

"The people here in Auburn aren't as fired up with that home game being moved to Atlanta, but there are a lot of advantages for us," Golesh told 680 The Fan in Atlanta earlier in the week.

"We've got such a huge alumni base there," Golesh coninued. "That place will be rocking with blue and orange. And then it's a national stage, on ABC, right in the middle of the day on the opening weekend. I think it will be huge for us."

The start time of the game was announced this week as well. Both Auburn and Baylor will start the season Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and the game will kick off at 2:30 pm CT. The game will be broadcast on ABC.

This game will be Auburn's fourth appearance in the Aflac Kickoff Game. They were there previously in 2012, 2015 and 2018.

Auburn took down Baylor last season in the season opener in Waco 38-24 in a game that had Auburn fans excited and hopeful for what the season could be. The start of the 2026 season will be the sixth game all-time between the Auburn Tigers and the Baylor Bears.

In a release from Auburn, they added that additional kick times and television window designations for the 2026 season will be announced in the coming weeks.
