Auburn's huge recruiting day continued with the commitment of wide receiver Cedrick Simmons. The explosive Alabama playmaker chose the Tigers over Alabama and Purdue, giving Alex Golesh a second receiver pledge on Tuesday and pushing Auburn's 2027 class further into the national top 10.

The Auburn Tigers double-dip on Tuesday as they pick up two premier offensive weapons for the upcoming 2027 class.

Alex Golesh and his staff picked up the commitment of wide receiver Cedrick Simmons, in another recruiting victory over instate rival Alabama.

Simmons, who chose the Tigers over Alabama and Purdue, stands at 5'10 and is 195 pounds. His size and speed could be a perfect fit under Alex Golesh's offensive scheme.

Earlier this week, he told reporters that Alabama and Auburn were close in his decision and he had "a hard decision to make." Ultimately, he chose to head to The Plains.

This was a huge win for wide receivers coach Kodi Burns on Tuesday, for not only securing Simmons, but WR DeShaun Hall as well on the same day. The Auburn class now holds commitments from 3 wide receivers, also including Brylan Oduor.
