Auburn could add another major piece to its Top-10 recruiting class on Tuesday. Four-star wide receiver Deshawn Hall, one of Alabama's top prospects, is set to choose between the Tigers and Penn State in a decision that could further elevate Auburn's already impressive 2027 haul.
The Auburn Tigers could soon once again add another premier player to their 2027 recruiting class.
On Tuesday, one of the most impressive prospects out of the state of Alabama will make his decision on where he will play college football beginning next season, and the Tigers made the short list.
4-star wide receiver Deshawn Hall from Prattville, Alabama, is an elite talent who could completely change the perception of a program's recruiting class, even one as impressive as Auburn's this season.
Hall narrowed his many offers down to the 7 teams of Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Clemson, and Tennessee in early May, but has since moved to just the Tigers and Penn State as the two finalists.
The Prattsville receiver is seen as the 7th best player in the state of Alabama and the 20th best WR in the country. In 2025, he recorded 660 yards on 40 catches and picked up 5 receiving touchdowns in the process. He is a multi-sport athlete who also plays basketball, receiving offers from multiple D1 programs.
According to TJ Randall, 247Sports Analyst, Hall is a "Slender basketball-football crossover possessing exciting athletic traits and room for both physical and positional-skill improvement." Randal also describes him as a "Springy leaper whose experience attacking rebounds on the court translates to success when playing throws at their highest points."
If Hall were to commit, he would become the Tigers 22nd player to join Auburn's 2027 class. He joins QB Gary Chatman, RB Myson Johnson-Cook, RB Khamoni Williams, WR Brylan Oduor, TE George Lamons, OT Layton Von Brandt, OT Rance Brown, IOL Jaylon Moore, IOL Reed Ramsier, DL Donivan Moore, ED Rion Jackson, ED James Pace III, LB Kareem Palmer, LB Isaac McNeil, CB Nash Johnson III, CB Aidyn Wiggins, S Chance Gilbert, S Knyair Crumb, ATH Preston Williams, and K Noah Ash.
The announcement will take place on Tuesday at 10:30 AM CT on Rivals YouTube page.
