The Tigers failed to keep pace with the Sooners on the road Tuesday night.

Days after picking up a comeback win over the Kentucky Wildcats that provided them with an opportunity to right the ship of their season and build momentum with tournament play approaching, the Auburn Tigers blew it in Norman, Oklahoma.

Auburn (15-13, 6-9 SEC) fell 91-79 at the hands of the Oklahoma Sooners (14-14, 4-11 SEC) on the road inside Lloyd Noble Center on Tuesday night.

A KeShawn Murphy lay-up gave Auburn a 5-4 lead with 18:44 left in the first half, but that was the last time it had an advantage on the scoreboard.

The Tigers never found a way to claim control of the driver's seat, and the momentum they could have had after the Kentucky win likely dissipated as a result.

While almost all of Auburn's production came from two sources, Oklahoma saw a mix of contributors help it reach the win. Nijel Pack led the Sooners in points with 22, but three other members of the team finished the game in double figures.

Keyshawn Hall and Kevin Overton co-led Auburn in scoring and each had a dominant performance with 26 points each. No one else on the Tigers reached double figures.

Additionally, the Sooners shot 52.6% from the field and 68.4% from beyond the arc.

Overton also led the way in rebounds with seven, and Hall followed closely with six. Tahaad Pettiford and Filip Jovic co-led the team in assists with three each.

Despite the outcome on the scoreboard, Auburn had a decent performance from a shooting perspective. It finished the contest 25-of-53,47.2%, from the field, 8-of-19, 42.1%, from 3-point range and 21-of-27, 77.8%, from the free-throw line.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, Feb. 28, when the host the Ole Miss Rebels at Neville Arena. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT, and SEC Network will carry the television broadcast.
