Predicting the rest of Auburn basketball's 2026 schedule cover image

Auburn basketball only has 11 games left on its schedule, and this is how Daniel Locke sees the rest of the season playing out.

After a rocky start to the SEC portion of their schedule, the Auburn Tigers seem to have found their footing.

The Tigers have picked up three consecutive wins — including a road victory over No. 16 Florida — seem to be coming together as a unit as league play continues to move along.

With 11 games left on the schedule, this is how I think Auburn will do to close out the slate and gear up for SEC and NCAA Tournament play.

Vs Texas, Jan. 28 at 6 p.m.

Auburn continues to build momentum and improves to 14-7 (5-3 SEC).

Vs Tennessee, Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m.

Auburn gives the Volunteers a tough game, but they are ultimately too much for Steven Pearl to handle and he drops a game against him alma mater. 14-8 (5-4 SEC).

Vs Alabama, Feb. 7 at 3 p.m.

The Crimson Tide appears to have cooled off, and I don't think the addition of Charles Bediako will help them pick up a victory in front of one of the most hostile crowds it will face this season. Auburn improves to 15-8 (6-4 SEC).

Vs Vanderbilt, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m.

I think the momentum of picking up a win over Alabama will help Auburn find a way to get it done against a much-improved Vanderbilt squad and improve to 16-8 (7-4 SEC).

At Arkansas, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m.

I don't see Auburn finding a way to sweep John Calipari's squad this season. 16-9 (7-5 SEC).

At Mississippi State, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m.

I think Auburn finds a way in Starkville. 17-9 (8-5 SEC).

Vs Kentucky, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Mark Pope's squad has left a lot to be desired in his second season at the helm of the program and I think Auburn takes advantage at home. 18-9 (9-5 SEC).

At Oklahoma, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m.

The Tigers roll into Norman and leave with their third win in a row. 19-9 (10-5 SEC).

Vs Ole Miss, Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m.

Four in a row for the Tigers as they secure the season sweep against Ole Miss once again. 20-9 (11-5 SEC).

Vs LSU, March 3 at 9 p.m.

Auburn picks up its fifth win in a row over an LSU team that has not impressed during the 2025-26 season. 21-9 (12-5 SEC).

At Alabama, March 7 at 7:30 p.m.

Auburn is red hot at this point, but it's not enough to help them upset Alabama on the road. 21-10 (12-6 SEC).

I think Auburn would be ok with this season considering the way SEC play started for it. It would show continued growth and have the team ready to compete in March Madness.
