A double-overtime upset in Orlando snapped the Cougars' unbeaten streak, reshuffling the Big 12 landscape and leaving rivals Utah as the conference's final playoff frontrunner.

Every college football team changed except No. 1 Miami in this week's AP Top 25 poll. After the BYU Cougars moved up to its highest ranking in 42 years, they're no longer one of the top teams in the nation.

BYU still has a path to a College Football Playoff spot. But UCF outplayed the Cougars in Saturday's double overtime thriller. Bear Bachmeier threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Kyler Kasper had six catches for 129 yards.

The hangover after knocking off then-No. 2 Notre Dame was real. BYU struggled to find consistency against UCF and suffered the first loss of the season to UCF down in Orlando 39-31. For the Knights, this was the first top-five win in program history. BYU was moved down to No. 8 ahead of Week 9.

The Cougars aren't the only undefeated Big 12 team to fall. Texas Tech slid back to No. 13 after losing to Cincinnati. No. 7 Ole Miss took a 34-27 loss to No. 19 Texas. The biggest story from the past week was Utah surging ahead to No. 6 after a 21-13 win over No. 14 Houston on Saturday night.

The Utes are now the last unbeaten team in the Big 12. Utah quarterback Devon Dampier ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns to keep the Utes trending in the right direction. He also completed 18 of 26 passes for 204 yards with two interceptions. Utah extends the longest active winning streak in college football to 13 games.

Miami, Utah and UCLA are the only remaining unbeaten teams, the fewest at this point in a season since there were three left in 1977.
