Former Clemson star PJ Hall was honest about the opportunity he's received with the Charlotte Hornets.

Former Clemson star PJ Hall signed a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets and has been impactful.

Hall had a great career with Clemson before going undrafted in the NBA. He appeared in 19 games in the 2024-25 season with the Denver Nuggets, averaging 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.

Hall then played in seven games for the Memphis Grizzlies this season, averaging 1.9 points and 1.3 rebounds, shooting 55.6 percent from the field.

However, he never had an opportunity to get rotational minutes until Charlotte added him on a two-way deal. In three games for the Hornets, Hall is playing 13.7 minutes per game and averaging 6.3 points and 4.7 rebounds, while shooting 63.6 percent from the floor.

"Yeah, it 100% seems surreal," Hall said about playing for the Hornets. "I'm getting goosebumps talking about it."

Hall progressed as a player throughout his time at Clemson. In his freshman season, he appeared in 21 games, playing just 10 minutes a night. He averaged 3.5 points and two rebounds in that time.

In his sophomore campaign, Hall carved out a bigger role, starting in 29 of 30 games, averaging 15.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game. He shot 49.3 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from three.

Hall improved his efficiency drastically in his junior season, shooting 53.5 percent from the floor and 39.8 percent from deep, averaging 15.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, an assist, and 1.1 blocks.

Hall's efficiency dropped in his senior season, as he shot 48.8 percent from the field and 31.5 percent from downtown. However, his averages jumped up to 18.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game.

Hall is now getting his chance to thrive at the NBA level in a role in Charlotte's rotation that has many of their bigs out with injuries.

"Yeah, he's just a smart player, competes at a high level, gets the playbook," Hornets forward Kon Knueppel said about Hall. "He's quick to pick everything up. Just a high energy guy that knows how to play and that gets you on the floor and he’ll be successful around it."
