The Clemson Tigers will be taking on Charleston Southern this weekend.

The Clemson Tigers are getting ready to take on Charleston Southern this weekend in a game that should help them reset everything.

The last time that the Tigers took the field they were blown out by the Miami Hurricanes, showing just how far this program has fallen. Clemson hasn't been able to stick with the top teams in the country this season, with the offense failing to produce much this year.

But as the team gets ready for the game against Charleston Southern, they have a chance to right the ship. And even with the struggles from the Tigers this year, the team still holds a record of 3-2 on the season.

Head coach Dabo Swinney wants to see more from his guys in this game, especially from the offensive side of the ball. This is the perfect "get right" game for Clemson, but the team will need to execute the plan against this opponent.

Here are three keys to the game for the Tigers to get back on track against Charleston Southern:

1. Can Tait Reynolds Prove Himself?

With the offense struggling, many eyes have been on freshman quarterback Tait Reynolds, who took over a few games ago. Reynolds has done okay for the Tigers, but the program wants to see more from him, and this is the game to make it happen.

So far this season, Reynolds has thrown for 816 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions, while completing 64.8 percent of his passes. This is the perfect opportunity for Reynolds to show that he can be the leader of this team going forward and he needs to seize the moment.

2. Offense Must Get Going

The most amount of points that Clemson has scored this season was 28, which came against North Carolina earlier this year. Against Charleston Southern, the Tigers offense should be able to come alive; otherwise, this program could be in some trouble.

One area to help is establishing the run early on, with Gideon Davidson needing to get going. Davidson has done well this year, rushing for 371 yards and four touchdowns, but if he can get the running game going, it could help out Reynolds as well.

3. Can the Secondary Hold Up?

The defense, namely the secondary, of the Tigers has carried this team while the offense has tried to figure it out. In this game, the secondary will need to stay sharp, especially against a "lower-tier" opponent like this.

This group can't overlook Charleston Southern, and they will need to treat them like any other opponent. The Clemson defense has played well this year, and this is expected to keep going this weekend.
