The Clemson Tigers have landed another four-star player for their 2027 class.
The Clemson Tigers have been active in adding talent this offseason through their 2027 class and the transfer portal. Clemson made another big addition as four-star offensive lineman Elijah Morrison has committed to the program.
Morrison committed to the Tigers over Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, and NC State. He is the second offensive lineman that Clemson has landed, joining four-star Carter Jones.
Morrison is one of the top-ranked interior offensive linemen in the 2027 class and is a major addition for the Tigers.
"Coach Luke was a big part of it," Morrison said. "I love Coach Swinney."
Clemson has had a solid recruiting class despite having a down year in 2025. Swinney and the Tigers finished with a 7-6 record. They were unable to make it back to the College Football Playoff or the ACC Title Game.
Ken Ruinard / USA Today Co / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn ImagesSwinney has established Clemson as one of the best programs in the country over the past decade. However, they now face an uphill battle to get back on track in the 2026 season.
The Tigers lost nine players in the NFL Draft, including defensive stars Peter Woods, T.J. Parker, and Avieon Terrell, as well as offensive talent like Blake Miller, Antonio Williams, and Cade Klubnik.
Clemson will need its younger players to step into bigger roles to replace those stars and produce better results.
Swinney was aggressive in making changes, using the transfer portal more than in the past, and hiring Chad Morris as the offensive coordinator and Rich Bisaccia as the special teams coordinator.
Morris' key task will be getting the most out of quarterback Christopher Vizzina, who is taking over as the starter for Klubnik.
Vizzina has limited experience, having completed 19 of 34 passes (55.9 percent) for 190 yards in 2024. In 2025, he completed 45 of 71 passes (63.4 percent) for 406 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception while rushing for 41 yards.
The Tigers have a lot riding on the 2026 season, as they are in desperate need of a bounce-back, but it's great to see that they are still landing talented recruits like Morrison for 2027.
