The Clemson Tigers came away with a win over the Georgia Southern Eagles.
The Clemson Tigers had a bounce-back win in Week 2 over the Georgia Southern Eagles, 22-7. Dabo Swinney and the Tigers were blown out by LSU in Week 1, as they lost 51-10.
Clemson again had both quarterbacks appear in the game, as Christopher Vizzina completed four of eight passes for 19 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Tait Reynolds played a larger role, completing 16 of 26 passes for 178 yards while rushing for 36 yards on 13 carries.
Wide receiver T.J. Moore led Clemson in the receiving game, as he had seven receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown. Moore was contained in Week 1 of the season as he had four receptions for 31 yards against LSU.
Gideon Davidson led the Tigers on the ground in Week 2, as he rushed for 62 yards on 14 carries while Chris Johnson Jr. had 53 yards on seven attempts.

Clemson's run defense was even better, as they rushed for just 22 yards on 18 carries (1.2 yards per carry).
Safety Ronan Hanafin came away with a sack, while star edge rusher Will Heldt had two sacks and three tackles for loss. While the defense was dominant, the offense still hasn't reached its full potential.
Clemson still hasn't gotten the best out of their quarterback play, with Vizzina and Reynolds both appearing in each game in the 2026 season. The Tigers had a rough campaign in 2025, finishing 7-6 and missing the College Football Playoff despite expectations of competing for a National Championship.
That led Swinney to bring in two new coordinators and add more talent via the transfer portal, but they haven't executed as a winning program just yet.
If the Tigers can get a Week 3 win over the North Carolina Tar Heels, they can build momentum for the remainder of the season.
