Clemson Tigers cornerback Avieon Terrell has received a major comparison to a Kansas City Chiefs star.

Clemson Tigers cornerback Avieon Terrell could very well be the first Clemson player off the board in the NFL Draft this April.

Terrell began his final season with the Tigers viewed as a Day 2 prospect, but as the year progressed, he gradually moved up draft boards and is now generally perceived as a mid-to-late first-round pick.

There are questions when it comes to Terrell, though, specifically with his size.

Terrell stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 180 pounds, which could potentially scare some teams away when it comes to actually pulling the trigger on drafting him.

However, ESPN's Jordan Reid likes Terrell in spite of his drawbacks.

"He’s feisty," Reid said on NFL Draft Daily. "He can play inside, he can play outside, as well. I’m a big fan of this player."

Reid then went as far to compare Terrell to Kansas City Chiefs star Trent McDuffie.

"A player that he reminds me of – there’s a little shades of Trent McDuffie here with him," Reid said of Terrell. "And if you remember, McDuffie had very similar questions coming out of Washington. When he did come out, ended up going in the late first round. I think Terrell is going to go in a similar range."

McDuffie has a similar stature to Terrell, but that has not stopped him from becoming one of the top cornerbacks in football.

The 25-year-old has been in the league four years and already has one First-Team All-Pro selection and a Second-Team All-Pro selection to his name. This past season, McDuffie registered 63 tackles, a sack, an interception and seven passes defended.

Reid added that he feel Terrell has the potential to be a starter early in his career, which is to be expected for a cornerback that goes somewhere on Day 1 of the draft.

Terrell racked up 48 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, five forced fumbles and nine passes defended in 2025.

The Atlanta native totaled eight forced fumbles over his last couple of years at Clemson, a truly remarkable feat for any player, let alone a cornerback.

We'll see if Terrell ends up being the best corner from what is a rather deep class at the position.
