These two Clemson Tigers players could see their NFL Draft stock plummet before long.

Entering the 2026 college football season, the Clemson Tigers had a pair of wide receivers who appeared to be first-round talents: T.J. Moore and Bryant Wesco.

While Wesco's name has probably been the more popular one in draft circles, I have been more partial to Moore due to his size and athleticism.

Nevertheless, both receivers are incredibly talented, and given the right situation, both of them could be early NFL Draft picks next April.

The problem is that they might not be in the right situation.

Clemson went into the campaign with Christopher Vizzina under center, but quickly made the change to Tait Reynolds after Week 2.

While Reynolds looked good in his first start against North Carolina, he was subpar in the Tigers' road win over California on Friday night.

And the production of both Moore and Wesco is suffering.

Moore has logged 21 catches for 196 yards and a touchdown thus far this year. That's good for a meager average of 9.6 yards per grab, which follows a 2025 campaign in which he hauled in 52 receptions for 837 yards and four scores (16.1 yards per catch).

Meanwhile, Wesco has totaled just 16 catches for 163 yards. He hasn't reached the end zone, and while he did punch in a 65-yard punt-return touchdown at Cal, he hasn't done much else of note through the first four weeks.

This obviously does not bode well for the draft stock of either wide out, as teams absolutely look at college production during the evaluation process.

Will NFL scouting departments give Moore and Wesco some grace because of Clemson's circumstances at quarterback? Sure, but in such deep wide receiver class, a lack of statistical output could make all the difference.

There is no question that both players are NFL talents. I actually think Moore is one of the most underrated receivers in the country. But have you noticed there has been no discussion of either player outside of Clemson recently?

Why do you think that is? Yes: because neither player is producing, and to no real fault of their own.

Defensively, it's a different story for the Tigers. Defensive end Will Heldt and cornerback Ashton Hampton have both done wonders for their draft standing throughout the first month, and both could very well be Day 1 picks in the spring.

But things are a bit more dicey for Moore and Wesco, neither of whom may have the opportunity to do a whole lot for their reputation going forward.
