Clemson Lands 4-Star Offensive Tackle for 2027 Class

The Clemson Tigers continue to add to their 2027 class as four-star offensive tackle JJ Brown has committed to the program.

“Childhood dream came true, I’m Home and Go Tigers," Brown said.

Brown chose Clemson over Georgia, Auburn, Kentucky, and other schools. This is another great addition by head coach Dabo Swinney and his staff, adding more talent after an underwhelming 2025 season.

In 2025, the Tigers were expected to be back in the College Football Playoff and to win the ACC again, but they finished with a 7-6 record, falling way short of their goals and expectations.

Clemson was in need of adding more talent to restore the future of the program, and that's what Swinney has done. He was more aggressive in utilizing the transfer portal in 2026 while also adding a ton of talent in the 2027 class.

Offensive line coach Matt Luke also deserves a ton of credit for the Tigers' landing players like Brown.

Brown is going to a program that recently produced a first-round tackle in the NFL Draft. Blake Miller was selected with the 17th overall pick by the Detroit Lions.

That should give Brown hope of developing into a quality tackle at the college level at Clemson, helping boost his draft stock and eventually reaching the NFL Draft.

While it will be great to have players like Brown on the roster, the Tigers need to have a bounce-back year in 2025.

Swinney made some changes to the coaching staff, hiring longtime NFL coach Rich Bisaccia as special teams coordinator and bringing back Chad Morris as offensive coordinator, a role he held from 2011 to 2014.

Swinney hopes these changes will improve on-field production and help get back to being a contender for the College Football Playoff.

The Tigers struggled mightily in 2025, but they have a ton of incoming talent and should be hopeful that they will become a powerhouse in college football again in the near future.
