Clemson Tigers legend Trevor Lawrence has put the NFL on notice.

Clemson Tigers legend Trevor Lawrence has had a topsy-turvy stretch here in the early stages of his NFL career.

After a rocky rookie campaign in which Lawrence led the league with 17 interceptions in 2021, he bounced back by leading the Jacksonville Jaguars to a shocking postseason appearance — and a thrilling Wild Card Round playoff win — in Year 2.

The following two campaigns were rough for Lawrence, as he dealt with injuries while also falling well short of expectations.

Then, in 2025, Lawrence bounced back, guiding the Jaguars to an AFC South division title while throwing for 4,007 yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

But even after Lawrence's strong showing last season, there is still plenty of room for the former No. 1 overall pick to grow, and overall, he has still been a significant disappointment given how highly he was touted coming out of Clemson.

However, the 26-year-old has enjoyed a very good offseason and sent a rather strong message to the NFL in terms of where his mind is at heading into 2026.

"A lot more confident in my progressions and what I know about the system so when I get on the grass it's a lot less thinking," Lawrence said, via ESPN's Michael DiRocco. "The biggest thing is I can react, play faster, can work on some different things of my game because the focus isn't as much on what to do and what's the playcall and what are all the adjustments.

"I know all that stuff and still study that and work on it because it's easy to forget little details, but as far as being able to work on more detailed things with the receivers and the communication ... we're a lot further ahead this year."

Jacksonville is viewed by some as a potential Super Bowl favorite in the AFC, and the team's success will obviously hinge largely on Lawrence's progression.

Lawrence spent three years at Clemson between 2018 and 2020, leading the Tigers to a national championship victory during his freshman season.

The 6-foot-6 signal-caller then finished second in Heisman Trophy voting during his final collegiate campaign and was widely viewed as one of the greatest quarterback prospects in years when he declared for the NFL Draft.

We'll see if Lawrence can take another step forward this coming fall.
