Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers have failed to land a four-star offensive lineman.
The Clemson Tigers have lost a recruiting battle as four-star offensive lineman Reed Ramsier has canceled his upcoming visit with the program. Ramsier has narrowed his list to Auburn and Texas.
He would've been a great addition to the Tigers to bolster their offensive line depth. While Clemson has landed some solid recruits from high school and the transfer portal of late, it makes sense that they could lose out on others like Ramsier.
The Tigers struggled in the 2025 season, missing the College Football Playoff and failing even to reach the ACC Championship Game. The 7-6 record was disappointing and far from how Clemson has performed over the last decade under head coach Dabo Swinney.
Swinney established the program as a powerhouse in college football, but after a down year, they have a ton of work to do to get back to being one of the best teams in the country.
It's even more challenging as Clemson lost nine players to the NFL, including Cade Klubnik, who was the starting quarterback over the past three seasons.
Klubnik played at a high level for the Tigers, completing 64 percent of his passes for 10,123 yards, 73 touchdowns, and 24 interceptions while rushing for 878 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Christopher Vizzina will be taking over the starting spot for Klubnik in 2026. Vizzina doesn't have much experience, as he's completed 64 of 105 passes (61 percent) for 596 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception in his career. He's also rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown on 38 carries.

Star wide receiver TJ Moore could make things easier for both Vizzina and Morris. Moore had 52 receptions for 837 yards and four touchdowns in the 2025 season.
Clemson needs a ton to go right to have a successful season in 2026, but Swinney has proven to be an elite coach. If the Tigers have a bounce-back year, it could help them land more top recruits in the future.
