Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik finished up his senior season with the Tigers and now enters the NFL Draft. He is ranked behind Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza, as well as Ty Simpson, Trinidad Chambliss, and Drew Allar.
Ahead of the draft, ESPN's Field Yates named Klubnik as the fifth-ranked quarterback in the draft.
Heading into the season, Klubnik had the chance to establish himself as one of the top picks in the draft. However, Clemson had a tough season, going 7-6 and missing out on the College Football Playoff and ACC Title Game.
In his senior season, Klubnik completed 65.6 percent of his passes for 2,943 yards, 16 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also rushed for 94 yards and four touchdowns.
While it was a down year for Klubnik and the Tigers, teams can look to the success of his junior season as a reason to take a chance on him in the draft.
In his junior campaign, Klubnik completed 63.4 percent of his passes for 3,639 yards, 36 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also rushed for 463 yards and seven touchdowns.
Klubnik had his ups and downs during his career at Clemson, but he could be a mid-round pick in the draft.
For the Tigers, Dabo Swinney will now have to decide who the next starting quarterback will be. Clemson did not add a quarterback in the transfer portal, which means they will turn to Christopher Vizzina or Chris Denson.
Vizzina appeared in five games for the Tigers in 2025, completing 45 of 71 passes (63.4 percent) for 406 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. He also rushed for 41 yards.
Denson appeared in two games in his freshman campaign, completing all four of his passes for 22 yards and a touchdown. He added 108 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.
Vizzina and Denson will likely fight for the starting spot to play under new offensive coordinator Chad Morris. He was hired after Swinney fired Garrett Riley. Morris previously served as Clemson's offensive coordinator from 2011 to 2014.
While the Tigers had a tough season, Klubnik will likely be selected in the draft, and Swinney will need to figure out the next quarterback for the program.
