Clemson Tigers star edge rusher TJ Parker was drafted by a Super Bowl contender.

Clemson Tigers star pass rusher TJ Parker has been selected by the Buffalo Bills with the 35th overall pick in the second round of the NFL Draft.

Parker was one of the top pass rushers heading into the draft after a quality career at Clemson.

In his freshman season in 2023, Parker finished with 32 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery. It was an unreal freshman campaign, as he was instantly productive, which is rare.

He followed it up with a dominant season in 2024, as he had 57 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, six forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. Parker was a key reason for the Tigers making it to the College Football Playoff in his sophomore campaign.

Following that season, he was expected to be an early first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

However, like Clemson, there was a regression in 2025 despite high expectations. The Tigers went 7-6, missing the College Football Playoff, while Parker finished with 37 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, and three fumble recoveries.

While he didn't have the best conclusion to his college career, he was still a productive player, and there's hope that he can be unlocked to the level he played at in 2024.

Buffalo was in need of another pass rusher as they look to compete for a Super Bowl title in 2026. They are in win-now mode with Josh Allen as their quarterback, but have yet to win it all.

Pass rusher was one of their biggest needs, and Parker is a major addition. If he reaches his full potential, he could be a true difference-maker on their quest to bring the Lombardi Trophy to Buffalo.

Parker is one of the many Clemson players who will be drafted in the 2026 NFL Draft, and he will now look to translate his success with the Tigers to the Bills.
