Clemson Tigers star defender Peter Woods has received a bizarre new NFL Draft prediction.

The Clemson Tigers have quite a few players who are expected to be drafted in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. Peter Woods is one of those players.

Woods, who has been an absolute star for Clemson over the last three years, has been widely expected to be a first-round pick. Many projections have placed him as a top-10 pick, with some believing that he will be selected within the top five picks.

Regardless of where he goes, Woods is expected to be a very good NFL player.

Most of the recent projections have seen Woods be a high pick. However, a new projection has been made that is extremely bizarre considering where the star defensive tackle has been expected to be drafted.

Fox Sports analyst Rob Rang has released a new mock draft that would see Woods slip in the first round. Rang doesn't see Woods getting drafted until the Buffalo Bills select him with the No. 25 overall pick.

"The Bills are an obvious Super Bowl contender by most metrics, but one significant weakness is their struggle to defend the run. Buffalo finished the regular season ranked 29th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed and 32nd in touchdowns. Fortunately, the 2026 draft offers several quality nose guards," Rang wrote.

"Woods entered the season as one of the most celebrated prospects in the country, and though his production (30 tackles, including 3.5 for loss and two sacks in 2025) isn’t eye-popping, he’s a proven and reliable three-year standout whose bulk and power easily translates to the pro game."

Landing a defensive tackle like Woods that late in the first round would be a huge win for the Bills. The Tigers star would immediately help lift the ceiling of the Buffalo defense in 2026.

Standing in at 6-foot-3 and 315 pounds, Woods is an intimidating physical presence. Clemson has seen the star defender show promise as a pass rusher from inside, but he's also an elite run stuffer.

If the Bills have a chance to draft Woods, it would be shocking to see them pass on it. More than likely, he'll already be off the board, but in this scenario Buffalo would land a dream addition in the first round.
