The Clemson Tigers have several players who could land in the first round of the NFL Draft this spring, and perhaps the fastest riser is cornerback Avieon Terrell.
Initially viewed as a second-round pick during the earlier stages of the 2025 campaign, Terrell has rocketed up draft boards in recent weeks and now appears to be almost a guaranteed first-round selection.
Some mock drafts even have him as high as the teens, but most have him coming off the board somewhere the 20s.
In a recent mock, Jack Aaron of Pro Football Network has predicted that Terrell will go No. 29 overall to the Los Angeles Rams, filling a massive need for the Super Bowl-contending squad.
"Rams cornerback Darious Williams was exposed in the NFC Championship while attempting to cover Jaxon Smith-Njigba. While he has had a solid career, regression has limited his ability to consistently contain top receivers," Aaron wrote.
Aaron's answer? Terrell.

Terrell, has fluid hips and quick feet that make him one of the best man-coverage corners in the draft," Aaron wrote. "His instincts and coverage ability should appeal to the Rams’ defensive staff."
Terrell doesn't have elite size at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, but he compensates with his incredible physicality and tenacity, making him one of the more intriguing defensive players available in this year's draft class.
It stands to reason that Terrell could actually end up developing into the best cornerback in this class, and with Los Angeles having a glaring need at the position, Terrell would comprise a terrific fit.
The 21-year-old logged 48 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, five forced fumbles and nine passes defended this past year. In fact, Terrell amassed eight forced fumbles over his final two seasons at Clemson, a truly remarkable feat for a cornerback.
Terrell began his collegiate career with the Tigers in 2023 and became a full-time starter as soon as his sophomore campaign, where he immediately displayed his NFL potential.
If Terrell does fall to the very back end of the first round, whoever selects him — in this case, the Rams — could be getting a massive steal.
