Clemson Tigers star T.J. Parker has established himself as one of the top edge rushers in the 2026 NFL Draft.
In Fox Sports' recent mock draft, they have Parker landing with the Seattle Seahawks with the 32nd overall pick.
Parker would join one of the NFL's best defenses, as Seattle's defensive unit is what led them to a Super Bowl victory.
However, repeating as champions is a difficult task, and the Seahawks will need reinforcements.
Parker would add to a pass rush that features 33-year-old veteran DeMarcus Lawrence, 31-year-old Leonard Williams, and 29-year-old Uchenna Nwosu.
Seattle could use more youth in the edge room, and Parker could be a perfect fit, as he could learn from and develop behind these pass rushers.
Jeff Blake-Imagn ImagesParker had three quality seasons with the Tigers. In his freshman year in 2023, he finished with 32 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery.
He followed it up with a monster season in 2024, posting 57 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, six forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
Parker was solid again in 2025, but not at the level of his sophomore campaign. He finished with 37 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, and three fumble recoveries.
He has the potential to be an elite edge rusher at the next level. With a great defensive system under Mike McDonald and the opportunity to develop behind great pass rushers, the Seahawks could maximize his talent.
The Tigers will miss Parker's pass-rush ability as they look to bounce back in 2026. There will be a ton of pressure on head coach Dabo Swinney to turn the program around, as they went 7-6 in 2025, missing out on the College Football Playoff and ACC Title Game.
Clemson has been one of the best college football programs over the past decade under Swinney, but the 2026 season could be a make-or-break year for the program.
The Tigers will need to replace players like Parker as he heads to the NFL and improve to make the College Football Playoff.
