The Clemson Tigers have lost a wide receiver to the transfer portal.

The Clemson Tigers have been aggressive in using the transfer portal this offseason, but they are losing some of their own players. One player who's on the move is former walk-on wide receiver Parker Fulghum.

"I want to thank Clemson University and the entire coaching staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to compete at a high level over the past two seasons," Fulghum posted on social media. "It has been an honor to represent Clemson, and I am grateful for the relationships, memories, and lessons I’ve gained during my time here..."

"With that being said, I will be entering my name into the NCAA Transfer Portal with 3 years of eligibility remaining. I am excited for the next opportunity."

Fulghum didn't play much for the Tigers, playing in five games, but he didn't have a reception. He has three years of eligibility remaining and will be looking for a new team.

While Clemson is losing Fulghum, they have done a great job with the transfer portal thus far. In the past, head coach Dabo Swinney had been criticized for his limited use of the transfer portal, but he has been much more aggressive in upgrading the roster this offseason.

The Tigers have landed a ton of talent, particularly on defense. They are making much-needed roster upgrades, after an underwhelming 7-6 season, including a loss to Penn State in their final game, the Pinstripe Bowl.

Heading into the season, Clemson was expected to be in the College Football Playoff and a contender to win the National Championship. The Tigers fell short of that goal, leading to some changes.

Swinney fired offensive coordinator Garrett Riley after the season, replacing him with Chad Morris. This will be Morris's second stint as the offensive coordinator, having served in that role for the Tigers from 2011 to 2014.

Along with that, Clemson will turn to another quarterback, as Cade Klubnik has finished his senior season and is heading into the NFL Draft.

While Clemson is losing Fulghum in the transfer portal, Swinney has done a great job of improving the roster, and they'll need to do more to get back to the College Football Playoff in 2026.
